This system, developed by Aeromine Technologies , has a different structure than traditional wind turbines. The system, which is located on the roof of the BMW factory in Oxford, has a design with no moving parts, which reduces the impact on the environment and produces energy more quietly.

In fact, the working principle of these turbines is based on capturing air and generating electricity through a mechanism located inside. Unlike classic wind turbines , Aeromine’s design does not have any visible propellers from the outside. Instead, vertical profiles resembling airplane wings are used to direct the airflow to the rear part, generating electricity.

More than 11,000 panels on the roof generate enough electricity to power 850 homes a year . However, solar energy production is limited during the winter months and at night, and that’s where Aeromine’s bladeless wind turbine comes in. It makes up for the solar panels’ shortcomings by continuing to generate energy throughout the night and when the wind is strong.
